National team resumes training ahead of Namibia tour
The National cricket team has resumed training at Ruaraka Sports Club after a one week break since their return from the United Arab Emirates where they played Canada in both the ICC Intercontinental Cup and the World Cricket League Championships.
Kenya won both the events but tied the Twenty20 series.
The team resumed training under coaches Robin Brown and Thomas Odoyo to prepare for their upcoming tour to Namibia later in the month. While in Namibia, Kenya will play the hosts and Netherlands in the 50 overs and the T20 matches.
After the team’s arrival from Dubai, captain Collins Obuya said the team had gained more experience from the tour and was confident the team will be aiming to improve when they resume training ahead of the Namibia tour. “The experience that the guys gained against Canada will be absolutely vital to our growth as a team and the growth of every player. We’ve learned some good lessons from the experience which we will be taking into our next series” he said.
