Jackie Janmohamed back as Cricket Kenya Chairperson.
Following a full Council meeting of Cricket Kenya Board that was held over the weekend in Mombasa, the council managed to convince Jackie Janmohamed to rescind her decision of stepping down as the Chairperson of Cricket Kenya.
The meeting that was attended by all the affiliates of Cricket Kenya passed resolutions that will see Ms. Janmohamed supported in all areas of ensuring the development of cricket in Kenya continues to grow.
Earlier on in July she had tendered her resignation as the Chairperson of Cricket Kenya due to personal reasons. However, after the Mombasa meeting with the Cricket Board, she agreed to continue serving as the Chairperson.
Ms. Janmohamed was elected in the year 2012 and in the process made World History by becoming the first female to ever head a Country’s Cricket Board.
“I believe my commitment to change and implement structures that will grow the game of Kenyan Cricket is still there and this is what I will continue to do”, said Jackie Janmohamed after the full council meeting.
