Bundi's five-for sets up Kenya’s win over battling USA

Emmanuel Bundi took his second five-wicket haul since October’s Africa T20 Cup in South Africa as Kenya beat United States of America (USA) by four wickets at Zayed Cricket Stadium in the ICC World Cricket League Championship warm-up match on Saturday.

Bundi took advantage of a responsive pitch to claim 5 for 25 in USA’s innings to seize control of the match against the North Americans.

Bundi was well supported by medium pacer Nelson Odhiambo, who took 2 for 11 off 4 overs, as USA folded abysmally under pressure as they lost their first seven wickets for 39 runs in 10.3 overs to be bowled out for 63.

Kenya then lost six wickets before passing their target of 64 in 22.1 overs and they now go into the ICC’s World Cricket League Championship proper where they face the Scotland on 6th and 8th December at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Kenya needs to defeat Scotland twice to qualify for the 2018 ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers scheduled for Zimbabwe in March.
