Kenya off to South Africa to face the Dutch in East London

The Kenya National Cricket team left the country on Friday for South Africa to participate in the 6th round of the ICC World Cricket League Championship matches against Netherlands scheduled to be held on 6th and 8th October, 2017 at the Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium in East London.

Kenya is currently in fifth position on the log with 10 points, six points behind their opponents who’ve been leading the standings since the turn of the year and will be favourites going into these encounters.

The East Africans will be hoping to deliver against their opponents to increase their chances of progressing directly into the ICC 2018 Cricket World Cup qualifiers by finishing in the top four of the eight-team championship.  

The squad consists of Rakep Patel (Captain), Shem Ngoche (V-Captain), Nehemiah Odhiambo, Nelson Odhiambo, Peter Koech, Pushpak Kerai, Rushab Patel, Alex Obanda, Lucas Oluoch, Dhiren Gondaria, Irfan Karim, Emmanuel Bundi, Gurdeep Singh and Collins Obuya.
