Mount Kenya University maintain unbeaten run as USIU open with win.

Mount Kenya University (MKU) maintained their unbeaten run when they walloped the hapless Co-operative University by 10 wickets at Sir Ali Muslim Club on Saturday.
MKU won the toss and opted to field first and successfully restricted their opponents to a small to of 50 runs from 15.3 overs. Opening bowler Onesmus Mutua led the way with 3 for 11 from 3 overs and was well supported by skipper Samuel Kariuki who returned 3 for 13 in 3 overs, Lincoln Mureithi (13 runs), was the only Co-op University batsman to register a double figure.
MKU then chased down the total in 6 overs without losing a batsman; Mutua (26) and Mustaqim Quadir (13) helped the Thika-based University to their third straight win that puts them firmly on top of the table standings after 3 rounds of fixtures.
Elsewhere at Ruaraka Sports Club, USIU defeated Multi Media University by 80 runs to open their campaign with a win. Harsh Patel (33) and Darpan Patel (31) were instrumental in posting a challenging 161/6 off 20 overs while Divyesh Vaghjiani 4 for 23 ensured a comfortable victory.
